Rehabilitation for Dogs, Cats & Pets
If your pet is suffering from an injury or illness related to the neurologic and musculoskeletal systems, physical rehabilitation can be extremely beneficial.

Overview
Rehabilitation services are vital to ensuring that your pet can eventually regain their comfortability to live a happy and healthy life. We can create and implement a rehabilitation plan for your pet to help them recover from an injury, manage a condition, and increase mobility.
What will happen during the evaluation?
Your pet’s evaluation will take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. The pace of each consultation is set by each patient. Our policy when it comes to physical rehabilitation is that it is based on trust, which takes patience at times.
During this time, we will look at things like:
Posture
Gait (walking, trotting, running, etc.)
Pain
Reflexes
Joint angle measurements
And other indicators of dysfunction that may be there
The first treatment is typically done the same day so that we can start getting used to the process and begin healing.
How does physical rehabilitation work?
Based on the condition of your pet, our veterinarians will create and implement a rehabilitation plan to restore mobility and eliminate any pain your pet may be feeling. We may recommend any of the following for rehabilitation treatment:
Thermotherapy
Treadmill work
Electrode stimulation
Exercise programs
Massage
Hydrotherapy
Splinting
Drug therapy
Laser therapy
Joint mobilization
Orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices
Trigger point therapy
As your pet progresses, our team will keep careful records and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the rehabilitation process is successful. Pain medications can also be prescribed if necessary.
With advanced equipment and progressive methodology, we dedicate ourselves to providing the best possible rehabilitation service for your dog, cat, or other animal. Every test, decision, and treatment is customized to the specific needs of your pet so that they can manage their condition or recovery and live out their happy, healthy life.
